Will you have any regrets once you leave this world?  Have you done the things that makes life delicious?  I’m not thinking of material things you’ve accomplished.  I’m not talking about things.  I am more interested in the little things that really counts.  Here’s a list that I find truly care about.

1)  Cooking a dish right out of a cookbook.

2)  Planting from seeds and really seing the plants grow.

3)  Learning all I can about photography.

4)  Self-publishing another book and another and another……. not for sale but for pure self indulgence.

5)  Walking everyday no matter what the weather is.

6)  A phone call to a friend or relative at least once a day.

7)  Sitting on my deck and just keeping my mind silent for at least 15 minutes everyday.

8)  Reading more books.

9)  De-cluttering for 30 minutes everyday.

10)  Listening to music.

These are just a start of my list and I will continue to add as the days go by.

I like winter but it’s time to say good bye

In Mid-flight

I like winter but it's time to say good bye

I took this photograph one wintry Saturday morning.  It was such a beautiful sight.  So before my first cup of coffee, put on my robe and slippers, grabbed my camera and one carnation and VOILA!  My creation!  Loved it!  Oh yes, I also dabble here and there with poetry writing.  This is one of my earlier works.

Chained soul

Self-inflicted
Needing escape
Needing the sun to nourish her soul
Needing to feel the wind
Caressing her face

She begun her new adventure
Solitary but not lonely
The company of one’s self
A gift she gave herself
Rediscovering old treasures
Made new once again

She learned ferociously
Thirsting for the newness of her world
Hungering ever more to enrich her
Surprises at every turn
Discoveries at every road
Provided over whelming abundance of joy

It was a very different country
Parched and brown
Twisting roads that leads no where and everywhere
Earthly sculptures embrace this vast land
A mirage with a different flavor in the far distance
Breathing every details in delight

Confusion over reality
But welcoming to pursuit
The heaviness in her heart
Slowly abandoned
Released and replaced
By the newness of her world
